California encourages you to register online. The real version of the one-page form on your left is found on California Secretary of State Debra Bowen's website.

Here's how the process works:

  1. You complete the form online.

  2. The state types it up and mails it back to you.

  3. You sign the completed form when you receive it.

  4. You mail the signed form to the local address below.

Important Note: The Computer and Internet Caucus strongly recommends that you check the box on the form to become a Permanent Absentee Voter.

A mail-in ballot gives you more time to carefully review ballot initiatives. Studies show that absentee voters have a higher percentage of participation.
